Barka Slough This publicly accessible portion of Vandenberg SFB is a go-to spot for spring birding. The dense willow-riparian habitat along San Antonio Rd.  hosts Yellow-breasted Chat, Blue Grosbeak, Lazuli Bunting, Ash-throated Flycatcher, and Swainson’s Thrush. Birding is done along the two-mile stretch of road. 
